I LOVE OUR HOME, BUT I DO MISS 10 THINGS FROM THE KLIPSPRINGER HOUSE!

I loved this sink, but had to keep Adam from washing his golf clubs in it!

Every day I sit at our Lancewood home and feel such gratitude for all the beauty it has both inside and out. I never tire of the seemingly endless treasures that Mother Nature brings. Whether it’s flowers, animals, fruit, clouds or rainbows, it always excites me. I’m like a kid in a candy store without the sugar high!

But, there are a few things I miss about our Klipspringer house that was our home for more than 19 years. Beyond the memories of our kids growing up, there are the practical things. After we remodeled, I grew to love these features: the mahogany vessel sink, the chocolate kitchen sink with bronze oil rubbed fixtures, the soft close cabinet drawers, the pot filler, the built in cabinet spice rack, and the beautiful staircase I designed and help build.  I mean I don’t miss climbing the stairs, just how pretty they looked.

I loved this sink, but not how close we were to the neighbor's fence!
I loved the pantry pull out drawers
I loved having large drawers at the island
Lazy Susan utilized the corner nicely
It was nice to have recycle and garbage together
I loved this pull out spice rack!
It was quite the luxury to have a pot filler!

Lost the staircase, but gained a beautiful door!

I also miss our master bath surround, and the granite I chose for the sinks with the perfect "river flows thru it" effect. I miss all the door handles that were changed out to bronze oil rubbed ones.

But, what I think I miss most are the floral love seats in the living room. No, just kidding. I kicked them to the curb, so to speak. They were taken when I put them out on the street corner.  I do miss the cherry wood floors, but not the dust that showed up so easily.

So, there are the ten things I miss the most, but I can probably count 100 things I love about our Lancewood home.  I so appreciate our past that led us to today.  It's a good lesson to always find things to love no matter if you are in your dream home or not.

With gratitude,
Sylvia
